In a letter to Donna Katen-Bahensky, CEO of UIHC

As our family approaches the final days of our visits to the UIHC, we would like to take this opportunity to comment on the outstanding care provided to our 85 year old mom, by Dr. Grant Hamilton, Division of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and his staff.

Our family really doesn’t think Mom would have come through this ordeal as well as she has if Dr. Hamilton hadn’t been her physician.

Dr. Hamilton’s attributes are many: highly skilled as a surgeon, calm demeanor, extremely compassionate, and a great sense of humor. He put Mom at ease the first time she met him. As Mom recently summarized, “the doctors that have treated her throughout the many states she has lived in over the course of her life, although quite nice, just do not measure up to Dr. Hamilton. He is truly an exceptional doctor.”

Our family has the greatest respect and admiration for Dr. Hamilton and his staff. They have spoiled us for all other health care professionals. Their efforts definitely make a difference each and every day for the patients they treat.

“I would rate my experience with Dr. Hamilton and his staff, on a scale of 1-10, 10 being Excellent, at a 12.

Having had 3 procedures, I couldn't be more pleased. The appointments were always on time, the staff was extremely friendly, and the visits were always kept confidential.  From my first visit through 3 procedures, I am extemely satisfied. Dr. Hamilton takes great pride in his work and it shows. He is very dedicated and always spends as much time as is necessary to take care of his patients. He also explains things fully and takes the time to answer any questions you may have.

After my facelift procedure and eye work, I was amazed not to have any visible scars or numbness where he made my incisions. One month after my facelift, I attended my son's wedding and no one even knew what I had undergone. All I received was compliments on how wonderful I looked!  

Secondly, he repaired my nose which was previously done poorly by another plastic surgeon. I was so relieved when Dr. Hamilton was able to not only fix my nose, but restore my breathing. Also in comparison to my first Dr., I had minimal swelling and very, very little bruising with Dr. Hamilton's work.

I would highly recommend Dr. Hamilton.”

I have seen at least eight doctors in hopes that someone would be able to help my breathing and constant pain. I could not find anyone that I felt comfortable with and trusted until I met Dr. Hamilton. I would recommend UI Facial Plastic Surgery to anyone who is looking into a procedure. They are a caring staff that gets to know each patient. I am so grateful that I finally found a doctor that cares about each patient, gains their trust and is a perfectionist. I wouldn’t trust my face to anyone else.

My experience with the Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department and especially Dr. Hamilton, was a piece of cake. From the beginning, I was treated with respect from everyone. He let me know what he was going to do, and what I could expect with each procedure that he did. He always got back to me whenever I made a phone call with a question. He is a very polite, very well educated man, and easy to get along with. I always felt safe in his hands.

I feel like I was very fortunate to have had Dr. Hamilton be the one that did the reconstruction on my nose. I have had nothing but great comments on how my nose has turned out. I am also very happy with the results. I feel like I have made a friend in him.
